This is an excellent bow for someone new to Deer Hunting. To get the most out of your first purchase, It is recommended to go with a high-quality item. It’s understandable if you’re hesitant to spend much money on something you’re still unsure about. At 245 feet per second and 65 pounds of kinetic energy, the Barnett Recruit recurve bow is powerful enough to take down a buck with one shot.

If you plan to take down an animal more significant than a Whitetail Deer with this bow, It is strongly advised against doing so. You will need a considerable amount of training and the ability to see in your scope to achieve pinpoint precision.

  • The Anti-Dry Fire Trigger weighs 5-Lbs and has a 245-FPS.

  • A Kinetic Energy of 65 ft-Lbs
  • Includes a Red Dot Sighting Scope
  • A Quiver and three 18-inch arrows are included.

  • Safety and Design

This particular Crossbow is one of the best ones. It is because for the price category it falls into, it includes several fantastic safety features explicitly designed with the operators of the bow in mind. Every shot can be taken with complete confidence because of the Automatic safety feature’s high level of dependability. An excellent safety feature will keep your bow from firing on accident.

This bow has several outstanding features, including an anti-dry fire mechanism. This will prevent you from accidentally firing your bow dry, which could cause your bow to malfunction or possibly injure you! You can never have too much of a good thing about Bows, and this one is no exception!

  • Accuracy & Power

The arrows fired from the Barnett Recruit Recurve Bow have a speed of 245 feet per second and carry 65 pounds of kinetic energy. As a novice bow hunter who is unsure whether or not he or she will enjoy the sport, It is suggested to anyone interested in deer hunting. If you are not confident about whether or not you enjoy a particular sport, it is pretty unlikely that you will want to invest a significant amount of money into it.

You should be able to shoot regularly within a 2-inch grouping at fifty yards once this bow has been sighted in. Because the bow’s speed is a little slower than most, it’s not a good idea to aim at a deer at a distance of more than forty yards, as this could give the deer enough time to start running away before the arrow reaches it. It is possible that the deer will only sustain injuries instead of being killed directly because of this.

  • Aiming the Bow

Because the draw weight is just 150 pounds, it will be simple for both beginner and seasoned hunters to bring the animal to full draw. It is pretty simple to pull back, and it’s even possible that you won’t need the pulling ropes. Although it is a very smooth Draw, you continue to use the pulling strings to avoid injuring your finger. This bow does have the possibility of having the Crank completely connected to it; however, in most packages, the bow does not arrive with the Crank.

  • Scope for a crossbow

The red dot scope is simple to see and comes standard on the Barnett Recruit recurve Crossbow that you purchase from Barnett. It is just the right size, and the illumination makes it easy to see even in dim light! When sighting a weapon, it is quite simple to make adjustments to the scope to fine-tune it. However, some individuals had difficulty sighting their Bows, and the process was simple for most.

  • Bolts

For hunting deer, the Barnett Recruit Recurve Crossbow is an excellent choice. Included are three bolts measuring 18 inches in length. It is most likely only appropriate to use these arrows for target practice. If you want to shoot deer with this bow, use the bolts that come with it.

  • Warranty

  • Quietness

The Recruit Bow won’t have any trouble keeping things quiet. The Recruit bow vibration is equivalent to that of more expensive bows. Dampeners for the Crossbow and the string can be simply taken care of by extra vibration.

With 3.5 pounds of pressure, the trigger breaks and is entirely silent. There is an excellent entry-level crossbow made by Barnett that will provide the hunter with an enjoyable hunting experience.

  • Efficiency

If you’re looking for a low-cost, high-performance crossbow, go no further than this. The Recruit Black is a very agile crossbow because of its slimmer shape and lightweight.

A scope would be a better option in place of the sight to make it more effective. The Crossbow’s low draw weight and thin, lightweight construction, paired with its improved sight, make it a viable contender.

  • Compact, lightweight, and long-lasting design

Barnett has the worst customer service of any company that I have tried to deal with. I think Barnett allows the customer service representative and her supervisor to drink heavily on the job. No sober person could be that stupid. Barnett will only stand behind their products if you ship them your bow at your expense and charge you near $200.00 for a 15 minute safety feature repair that I could do myself if they would send me the anti dry fire safety.
Good product, but don’t look for customer support after the sale.
